William J. Porta, Esq., M.Ed., became an advocate for children with disabilities after his young son was diagnosed with autism. Living the process firsthand, and learning how evaluations, meetings, and plans fit together, showed him how much a prepared, well-organized family can bring to each step.
That experience led him to earn his law degree with honors and a Master's in Education focused on disability law. Today he represents families and parents of students with disabilities in special education matters.
He works closely with each family to understand the child's needs, organize the relevant records, and build a clear, well-documented case. The firm offers fees on a sliding scale based on a family's ability to pay.
